Oliver the Octopus and Oliver’s Birthday, by Bonnie Lady Lee

Barbara’s Book Review

Two wonderful books, written by Bonnie Lady Lee, featuring Oliver the Octopus, are sure to delight young children with their brilliant color illustrations and their sweet stories. Oliver the Octopus introduces us to Oliver as he seeks friendship and acceptance from his underwater neighbors. In Oliver’s Birthday (co-written by Bonnie Lady Lee and Jan Van Buyten), Oliver plays the Game of Shapes as he celebrates his birthday with his new friends. This book is a fun way to teach children to recognize basic shapes.

Both books include coloring pages at the end!

I recommend these books for young children, ages 2-6.
